Join us for a free monthly gathering for young people (ages 13–25) navigating grief. This is a safe, supportive space to connect with others who truly understand and to find comfort and guidance as you move through your grief journey. This month, we’re joined by Emily Edwards – a registered Educational & Developmental Psychologist and founder of Peninsula Child Psychology in Mornington, Victoria. Emily offers evidence-based, holistic support tailored to the unique needs of each individual. With specialised training in grief counselling and emotional regulation, she works closely with young people to foster healing, resilience, and connection.

Bereaved Parents Together - Hastings Community Hub

We welcome you to a free monthly gathering, open to those who have lost a child, offering a chance to connect with other grieving parents and find hope in navigating grief. This month, we are honoured to be joined by Jan Winslade - an initiative healer, clinical hypnotherapist, and teacher of yoga and meditation. Jan will guide us through gentle breath work, meditation, and tapping techniques designed to help release grief and tension, promoting deep relaxation and a sense of peace.
Wed 3rd December, 5:30pm - 7pm

Grief Support Group - Bentons Square Community Centre

Join us for our free Grief Support Group, held every second month - a compassionate space for anyone navigating the loss of a loved one. As we approach a time of year when their absence can feel especially heavy, we’ll come together for a meaningful creative activity: making Christmas tree decorations in their honour. You’re invited to write your loved one’s name and personalise your decoration with colours, symbols, or words that hold special meaning. This gentle, hands-on activity offers a calming way to express emotions, remember, and reflect. No experience is needed - just come as you are and share the space with others who understand.

Bereaved Parents Together - Hastings Community Hub

We welcome you to a free monthly gathering for those who have experienced the loss of a child. This is a space to connect with other grieving parents and find support and hope as you navigate your journey through grief. This month, we will be joined by Brad Jenkinson - the Director of Holistic Athlete Development, where he mentors young people to overcome challenges and build belief in themselves. In 2015, Brad and his wife Katrina experienced the devastating loss of their firstborn, Hamish, at just six weeks old due to a rare genetic condition. Since then, they’ve raised funds in Hamish’s honour for Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital. Brad will share how the guiding question, “What would Hamish want me to do?”, continues to shape his journey through grief and beyond.
